The LYO and JYO have been asked to provide and serve a meal at Warren’s Table in Beatrice on the evening of May 29th at Christ Church Episcopal, 524 North 5th Street in Beatrice. We’ll be needing some food donated and we’ll also need help with preparing/serving the food. More details coming this week on how your child/family can help out with this community service project.

Easier Access - Plans are in the process to move a few back row pews for easier handicap
accessibility to accommodate members & guests.
ADDITION PLEDGES: Members who have not had an opportunity to pledge to the addition project, please leave commitment cards in the offering plates or with a council representative. D donations are currently being accepted for this project and may be given at church or sent directly to First State Bank in Filley. Thank you for your enthusiasm and support of these projects. Looking Ahead - Vacation Bible School will be starting 8:30 am till 11:30 am Tuesday, May 29 - Thursday, May 31st. Friday, June 1st from 8:30 am to noon. Preschool will be attending Wednesday and Friday only. Please see insert for food donations and volunteer list.
Filley Volunteer Fireman Chicken Bar-B-Que - Sunday, June 3rd from 11 am to 1 pm in the Sapp bldg in Filley. Free will donation. ½ chicken, potato chips, beans, roll & drink. Proceeds for Fire Department expense & upgrade. Pie, ice cream & dessert by Sunshine Gals Extension Club.
Reminder: Tex & Mary will be performing June 10th and special guest will be Lucas Petersen, a 2012 graduate from Wymore.
RESERVE THIS DATE ON YOUR CALENDAR - August 12, 2012 for the 2ND Annual Filley American Lutheran Talent Show & Ice Cream Social. All proceeds will go the ELCA Disaster Fund. More details will follow.
