The Gift of Music

      Zion Lutheran Church is blessed so much with the musical talents and abilities of its congregational members. Many times, those talents are expressed during the special music section of the church service during worship. Below are the musical groups of Zion and a brief description of each. Any member of the church is welcomed to join these groups at any time. Contact the groups’ respected instructors with any questions you may have.

Downstairs Sunday School

  The Downstairs Sunday School is an early-age music experience designed for children ages 3 years old to 1st grade. Contact Shirley Gronewold (402-673-5325) for more information.

Amigos de Cristo

  The Amigos is a fun, up-beat musical experience for students ages 2nd grade through 6th grade. Contact Cindy Jurgens (402-228-0592) or Marcia Busboom (402-673-3015) for more information.

Youth Choir

    The Youth Choir is a junior-high through high-school orientated musical group for both boys and girls. Contact Shirley Gronewold (402-673-5325) for more information.

Sounds of Zion

    Sounds of Zion is a combined choir of both men and women singing both traditional and modern songs in four-part harmony. Contact Shirley Gronewold (402-673-5325) for more information.

Ladie’s Choral

    The Ladie’s Choir is an adult women’s choir focusing on harmonic traditional songs. Contact Alnora Daubendiek (402-228-0778) for more information.

Men’s Choir

    The Men’s Choir is an adult men’s choir focusing on four-part harmony in traditional songs. Contact Alnora Daubendiek (402-228-0778) for more information.

Praise Team

    The Praise Team is a combined group of both men and women that lead the congregation during worship songs at the contemporary services. Contact Janelle Ideus (402-662-4805) for more information.

Instrumentalists

    The Instrumentalists are a complete wood, brass, and percussion ensemble of Zion. They perform traditional Christian songs under the direction of Alnora Daubendiek. Contact her at 402-228-0778.
